Difference between IC Plate & SA Plate

IC PLATE
IC or ICW stands for "In-Conjunction With", is a kind of plate that has to be used together with a Level III-A Soft Armor Panel to achieve its desired protective capability. IC plate is used to upgrade the existing level of protection of a Level III-A Soft Armor Vest.

SA PLATE
SA or STA stands for Stand Alone, as the name implies, can be used as it is and without any other armor component with it, as result, SA plates are usually heavier and thicker compared to the IC plate. It is commonly used in tactical operations.
